“What are the steps I have to take to succeed?” That is a very familiar question for those who want exactly what they want and are ready for an itinerary of how to actually achieve success.

Your biggest problems are time and the daily worries. After work, you are too tired and have no motivation left to work on your dream. So it is time for a change. Something more structured. There is no key to success, but there are multiple keys, multiple doors and different steps that follow each other:

1. Don’t let it depend on motivation

Isn’t achieving goals dependent on personal motivation? How can you be successful if you are not motivated? The problem lies in this: Motivation comes and goes with your feelings. If your desire is strong, you go for it, if it is less, you leave it behind. Instead, choose daily rhythms.

2. Mirror yourself to others

Learning from others is your next key. Let those who are more experienced show you the way. In this way, you lay the foundation from which you can differentiate yourself. Some of the success characteristics you can learn from mentors are: Setting simple goals, trusting others to achieve goals, perseverance, saving money where possible and making decisions, regardless of emotions.

3. Networking the right way

There’s no doubt you’ll need others on the way to success. So network, but don’t underestimate the emotional aspect in it. Therefore a number of guidelines to consider: Be steadfast, that inspires confidence. Be authentic, make connections based on common interest. Be honest, that gives clarity faster. Be alert and listen, the less you talk, the more you can get to know the other person.

4. The right exercise makes perfect

Every art needs practice, but the right one. Your dream is not to become a middle man, but to excel. So pay attention to the right training and education and do everything in your power to achieve success. First, determine the optimal way to practice and repeat it regularly. First practice the most important/effective parts. Repeat the exercise until you become creative, while performing the routine. And focus on what is naturally right for you. Finally, feedback is your last move in the right direction.

5. Failure is part of the process

If you think you were born perfect, you’re gonna bale forever. Count on going on your record. It gives you important insights about what to do and what not to do. Pay attention to the environmental factors that contributed to your failure. Assess your own reactions. Think about who can help you for a scoop of something? And be prepared to make another mistake.

6. Set realistic goals

Realistic goals are the checkpoints on the road to your success. If your goal is a real dream, you won’t reach it in a day and you need milestones that tell you that you are well on your way. Clear goals prevent the stress caused by ambiguity and give you direction.

7. Eliminate distractions and take rest

Distractions are a great enemy of your targets. Oddly enough, distractions sneak in so easily. Social media and friends have a place, but they can easily take over. A productivity app or your phone can help, so can tight appointments. You should also plan to rest, because only when body and mind are rested enough, they can really perform!
