Everybody wants a life full of love and happiness. There are countless ways to achieve this, but in some cases, the smallest things make the biggest difference. The smallest gestures can increase the feeling of happiness for many people. These 13 ways are going to help you achieve this.

1. Say yes and no more often

Try to say ‘yes’ more often to challenges, new events or new experiences. It is also important to say ‘no’ to the things you don’t really want.

2. Take care of yourself

If you take good care of yourself, you automatically feel better. You feel good about the things you are going to do, which also has an effect on the things you might do for others. Because of this, you not only give yourself a good day, but others as well.

3. Make a Bucket List

Make a list of things you want to do before you die. Every time you can cross an item off the list, you’ll notice that you’re going to be happy.

4. Find a sport you enjoy

Exercise releases good hormones, which automatically makes you feel better. If you also have a sport that you find very cool, then that’s a win-win situation.

5. Step outside your comfort zone

You can learn something from everyone and from every moment. You don’t do this by taking the same route to work every time, but by driving a different route as well. The same goes for talking to other people or visiting other restaurants.

6. Spend time outside

Fresh air, sunshine and a nice walk make feelings of stress disappear, which automatically makes you feel better.

By not planning everything, you have less to do with the stress of arriving on time. Make sure there is also time for spontaneity or to relax. Your body and your health will thank you for it.

8. Don’t look at the map, clock and reviews

Do not look at reviews of restaurants, dump the card you have and go out spontaneously. This sense of freedom makes us live more in the moment and not plan everything endlessly.

9. Sleep

Without enough sleep we are less sharp, make more mistakes and are unable to remember nice things. So if you finally have a great experience, make sure you are equipped enough to actually experience it.
